Reminiscent of a Grimm’s fairy tale, The Adventures of Baron Munchausen stars John Neville, Eric Idle and a young and luscious Uma Thurman as they journey across the world (and the moon) in search of the Baron’s lost comrades-at-arms. One of three visually stunning fantasies by Terry Gilliam (the other two being Time Bandits and Brazil) often considered his trilogy, Munchausen involves familiar major themes including magic, fantasy, and innocence. Told through a narration by Munchausen himself, the prodigious characters and unbelievable plot find a seemingly immortal adventurer rediscovering his belief in miracles and magic. With the fastest runner in the world, the strongest man alive, a man with extraordinary sight, and a man who can hear sounds for miles around, Munchausen’s group of outlandish companions fuel a wondrous cinematic journey that must be seen to be believed!
